Dr. David Hsu, MD, MBA
Chairman of the Board

David Hsu, M.D. graduated summa cum laude from the Medical School of the University of Hamburg, Germany in December 1967. After medical training in Germany and New York, he moved to Orange County, California where he started his private practice in 1977. He has established a consulting practice in the field of gastroenterology.

Dr. Hsu is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has served as an associate professor of medicine as a clinical faculty member of the Medical School of the University of California, Irvine from1980 to 2002.

In 2004, Dr. Hsu was invited to become a member of the advisory board of CIBT. CIBT delivers postsecondary business and technology education to students and corporations in China. In February 2006, he became director of CIBT and was elected as chairman of CIBT in November 2007 and continues to serve in this capacity. CIBT has business presence in 72 locations in 18 countries and has approximately 12,000 students. CIBT Education Group Inc. is dually listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the NYSE AMEX Exchange.

Dr. Hsu was one of the founders of Multi-Fineline Electronix, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company (MFLX), and has served as a member of the Board of Directors since its inception in October 1984. From February 1984 to September 1987 and October 1989 to December 2003, he served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Since its inception, he has been actively involved in the financial planning, marketing and strategic planning and operations, with a particular emphasis on the establishment and expansion of its manufacturing operations in China. Multi-Fineline Electronix, Inc. listed on the NASDAQ in June 2004. Upon completion of the listing, Dr. Hsu resigned from the board of directors and served as Chairman Emeritus.

Dr. Hsu was co-founder and founding Chairman of the Board of Directors of Medicinenet, Inc., an award-winning Internet-based publisher of medical information which provides content in easily understandable terms and layman’s language. Medicinenet, Inc. was acquired by WebMD in 2006.

From September 2000 through May 2003, Dr. Hsu served as an independent director of i-Cable, Inc., a NASDAQ (ICAB) and Hong Kong Exchange-listed telecommunications company.

Dr. Hsu obtained his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA in June 1987
