Dr. Daniel M. Shapiro, PhD

Dr. Shapiro earned his MA and Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University in 1972 and 1974 respectively. Currently a Professor and the Director of Executive Programs in the Faculty of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University, Dr. Shapiro has performed as an educator and researcher for over twenty years. As a consultant in the areas of foreign investment, mergers, competition policy and industrial policy, Dr. Shapiro has worked closely with the Anti-Inflation Board, Investment Canada, Bureau of Competition Policy, the OECD, the World Bank and the City of Vancouver. With extensive contacts in the field of education, Dr. Shapiro advises the Board in future developments as CIBT continues to expand its curriculum and locations in Asia.
