Maggie Harvie
Executive Vice President of Sprott-Shaw Community College

Maggie has been with Sprott-Shaw Community College since 1998 first as a Travel and Tourism Instructor, curriculum developer moving on to Associate Director and campus Director. She was later promoted to Regional Director (overseeing 7 campuses), Vice President of Operations and most recently Executive Vice President.

Maggie has provided excellent in house service training for directors enabling them to meet their budget targets and return healthy profits. Maggie has been responsible for the day to day operation of all campuses with 2 regional directors and all campus directors reporting to her. She also overseas and is responsible for statistical analysis of weekly and monthly reports and, due to her legal ( paralegal) she is also responsible for student dispute resolutions and overseas most legal matters.

Maggie also has many years in HR management, quality control systems, excellent team building and organizational duties.

As a community volunteer Maggie has served on numerous boards including Acting President of for the Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors and the BC Tourism Education Consortium.
