Growth Strategy
2005 and Beyond . . .
With China's accession to WTO, market conditions for education and training are rapidly changing. With a track record of growth and firmly established competitive advantages, CIBT School of Business is embarking on a plan to expand existing programs and launch innovative programs that tap into the growing need in China for market-based training programs.
Information Technology Diploma Program
In collaboration with Beijing University of Technology (formerly Beijing Polytechnic University) ,
CIBT School of Business plans to develop the IT
diploma and certificate programs into the training and educational
programs of choice for employees of foreign and Chinese corporations
and individual students. Serving an IT sector that is expected to
double in size to US$242 billion in revenue within the next five
years, CIBT anticipates explosive demand for these programs in Beijing
and elsewhere in China.
Cooperative International Bachelor Degree
Programs
Through program expansion and accelerated marketing efforts, CIBT
School of Business plans to increase enrollments and expand alliances
with international universities to fill China's accelerated need
for educational exchange and advanced learning opportunities.
Career Certificate Programs
In response to demand for short-term programs targeted at high-growth
sectors, CIBT School of Business is planning to expand career certificate
programs such as English language teacher training, project management
certificates, among others. To add value to programs, CIBT School
of Business works with international partners who bring established
credentials and experience.
Executive MBA Program
To expand MBA offerings beyond the existing English language program,
CIBT School of Business plans to add a Chinese language executive
MBA program in partnership with a prestigious North American institution.
Delivered at its campuses in Beijing and at corporations inside
and outside of Beijing, the Chinese version will be delivered using
both traditional learning and online formats.
Corporate Training Seminar Series
To satisfy the demand for short-term executive training, CIBT
School of Business is further developing its seminar series in partnership
with North American and Chinese professional trainers.
Undergraduate Degree in Software Engineering
Building on the IT diploma program to be launched in fall 2002,
CIBT School of Business is planning to introduce an undergraduate
degree in Software Engineering in partnership with a leading IT
institute in U.S. The combination of the IT certificate and diploma
programs and the undergraduate program will allow CIBT School of
Business to focus on multiple IT market segments.
Online Training Programs
Based on opportunities in various sectors, CIBT School of Business
will gradually make its programs, or components of programs, available
online. To provide it with a competitive advantage, CIBT School
of Business will partner with software providers and marketing partners,
and pursue Chinese government accreditation.
Branch Expansion
As China's need for a skilled and knowledgeable work force becomes
greater, and the Chinese government spreads resources beyond Beijing
and other centers, it is the intention of CIBT School of Business
to expand programs into other regions of China. Through cooperative
relationships with other educational institutions and companies
and franchising opportunities, CIBT School of Business is developing
strategic plans to increase its market penetration, as resources
and opportunities allow.
International Exchange Executive Training
Program
In collaboration with international partners, CIBT School of Business will offer senior executives from Chinese companies the opportunity to participate in business training seminars and workshops in China and abroad. Delivered in various formats and over a designated period of time at each location, the program will provide executives with an educational opportunity, as well as a chance to meet international counterparts for networking and information sharing.
Automotive Training Program
China's growing middle class is spurring unprecedented demand for automobiles and propelling China's auto industry into the upper echelons of car importing and producing nations. Subsequently, China is facing a dearth of qualified automotive technicians to service this new class of automobile owners. CIBT intends to develop and create an automobile service training program in partnership with a Western automotive training school.
